Cab Calloway - Minnie the Moocher
A funny, great and (after my opinion) sort of grotesque looking Scat-singer from the 1930’s. I got to know him through old Betty Boob cartoons and later on discovered what a huge star he was: Performing with Dizzy Gillespie and Ben Webster etc. You can really learn something from watching cartoons !

Tim Burton and Disney
Tim Burton: One we are lucky to still have around - meaning not laying in a grave.. Burton really caught my attention in an interview, where he tells how he worked as an animator on the studio’s The Fox and the Hound.
“I got all the cute fox scenes to draw, and I couldn’t draw all those four-legged Disney foxes. I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t even fake the Disney stile (…) what’s odd about Disney is that they want you to be an artist, but at the same time they want you to be a zombie factory worker and have no personality.”
One who detested the monopolistic magical world of Disney, and therefor realized his own world through his drawings and movies later on, is truly a man worth noticing! It’s a good concept - if you don’t like it, make your own.
